Common questions
What is the minimum quantity for custom stand-up pouches?
Custom pouch minimums start from 500 units for digital print. Gravure printing for larger volumes typically starts from 5,000-10,000 units. We recommend digital printing for brands at launch stage and gravure for established brands in regular production.
Are your pouches food-safe?
Yes. Our food-contact pouches are produced with food-safe laminates and inks that comply with FDA and Health Canada requirements. Material safety documentation is available on request.
Can I get compostable or recyclable pouches?
Yes. We offer certified compostable film options (NatureWorks PLA-based) and recyclable mono-material structures. Note that compostable films have specific disposal requirements and may have different barrier properties than conventional films.
What information do you need to quote a custom pouch?
To quote accurately we need: finished pouch dimensions (width x height x gusset depth), material and finish preference, closure type (zipper, heat seal, spout), print colours, quantity and any food-safety or regulatory requirements.
How long does custom pouch production take?
Digital print pouches: 10-15 business days from artwork approval. Gravure print production: 6-8 weeks including cylinder preparation. We provide exact timelines with every quote.
Can you produce pouches with a degassing valve for coffee?
Yes. One-way degassing valves are available on coffee bags and are recommended for freshly roasted coffee. Valves allow CO2 to escape while preventing oxygen from entering the bag.
